University of British Columbia: Publication & Print Design
Working as a Communications Designer for the University of British Columbia, I worked closely with the communications team to create student calendars, booklets (covers and interiors), large format banners, newsletters, posters, signage, postcards, and forms.
I was involved in these projects from start to finish: planning, mocking up comps, organizing photo shoots, purchasing art, choosing paper, print-buying, revisions, & pre-press.
One of my projects – Realities of Race – was awarded University & College Designers Association Design Award of Excellence
One of my assignments was to design the look & feel of a marketing suite for a week-long campus event titled "Realities of Race." The result was a colourful, vibrant and eye-catching set of materials that was awarded the University and College Designers Association Design Award of Excellence to Andrea and designer Diane Yee.
